Community Resources & Support

We're here to help pet owners and animal lovers in Central Florida. Find local vets, rescues, low-cost clinics, and helpful guides to keep pets happy and healthy.

Orange County Pet Resource Map

Vetted local partners — shelters, low-cost clinics, spay/neuter, emergency care, food & financial aid, rescues, TNR, lost & found, and training.

How partners were vetted

Every location was confirmed against the organization's own website or an authoritative government source to verify it currently operates, plus its services and costs. A few confirmed safety-net partners just over the county line (Seminole/Osceola) serve Orange County residents and are flagged. Costs and hours change — verify when you call.

Entries marked “Listed, not endorsed” are confirmed to exist and be licensed and operating — inclusion is not a quality endorsement by Keep Pets Alive. Poison-control and spay/neuter fees and clinic hours change often; verify at the time of your call or visit.

Dog-Care Resource Library

Trusted, force-free dog-care guidance from the field's leading veterinary and welfare authorities — AVSAB, AAHA, WSAVA, Cornell, ASPCA, Best Friends, Maddie's Fund, Fear Free and more.

How we vetted these resources

Every resource is authored, published, or formally endorsed by a credentialed veterinary body, an academic veterinary/shelter-medicine program, a major evidence-based welfare organization, or a recognized force-free training authority. We prioritized primary sources over aggregators, confirmed that links resolve to the exact resource described, and excluded dominance/“alpha” training, aversive-first methods, content farms, and anonymous advice.
